Additional details will communicated closer to Meet the Teacher Night.

Entering the School in the Morning

Enter the school by going eastbound on Penrose, then turning right on to Village Avenue, then turn left into campus. (See the blue arrowed lines on the map.)

If you would like to park and walk in, you can park along the fence on the left. (See the red shaded area on the map.)

If you would like to drop your child off, pull into the drop-off/pick-up area on the right. (See the green shaded area on the map.)

You may not drop students off on the street outside of campus.

If you are dropping your child off in the Drop-Off Area (highlighted in green), please stay with your car. Cars may not remain unattended in this area.

Your child may exit the car, and wait at the line until a traffic aide tells them when to cross. The traffic aide will also let drivers know when it is safe for them to pull forward to leave the area and exit the campus. Please follow all directions from the traffic aide.

After-School Pick-up Procedures

The same parking rules as morning drop-off still apply. Please do not leave your car unattended in the drop-off/pick-up area.

Elementary parents: place your student's name card on the right side of your dashboard and leave it there until your child is in the car. You will receive this name card at Meet the Teacher Night.

Middle and High School students can be picked up in the drop-off/pick-up area, or in B lot. Do not pick up students on streets outside of campus.

Visiting Campus at Other Times

Our security booth at the entrance of the school controls access to the campus. In order to fast-track your entrance, we ask you to place a VCS security decal on your car. Each family will receive two security decals in the mail. Additional decals can be picked up from the designated table at Meet the Teacher Night, in the Central Office once the school year begins, or at the security booth.

Student drivers can request a student-specific parking decal from the High School Office. Families who need additional parking decals can request them in the Central Office.

What Do I Buy for the First Day of School?

Inside our Students/Parents area, you'll find Supply Lists to get started. Individual teachers and programs (especially Elementary teachers) may have additional lists to distribute at Meet the Teacher Night.

Middle and High School students should have an electronic tablet, ChromeBook, or laptop. (Phones are not an acceptable substitute.)

Food Services

VCS offers a variety of food for purchase through CulinArt Food Services, which is prepared on campus daily in the Cran Cafe.

Elementary hot lunch menus are posted monthly on the Student/Parents page. Middle/High School students may purchase a variety of options À la carte from the Cran Cafe or the Food Trailer on The Shield. Menus are posted weekly on the Students/Parents page.

In order to facilitate quick and efficient purchasing/check-out, we utilized a cashless system. Each student's account is managed through MyKidsSpending. Students may purchase items using their school-issued ID card.

TRUCE Family App (MS and HS Only)

Last year, VCS implemented valuable and impactful new cell phone policies in Middle and High School that greatly improved the social and educational environment for our students. Heading into the 2025-2026 school year, we are expanding those policies in partnership with TRUCE Family, a new app that will enhance our students’ on-campus learning experience at VCS.

Click here to visit the TRUCE Family App page to learn more and be on the lookout for more information later this summer with important instructions and policy updates.
