For 75 years, the Village Christian community has come together to support VCS students using their gifts, talents, and resources to provide an innovative, Christ-centered education. Whether building the school’s first structures or raising funds at the first “Loyalty Dinner” for the Sun Valley land purchase, God has faithfully provided through the generosity of our families — blessings that have been vital to the growth and success of VCS through the decades.
And it will be in THE NEXT 75. Partner with us today as we celebrate this incredible milestone. Together, we can take VCS to new heights for generations to come.
Village Christian School continually strives to be one of the most innovative schools in the nation. In order to provide this level of excellence, we are building the finest facilities, hire the brightest and most caring teachers, and maintain a small student/teacher ratio. We do this by partnering with parents, alumni, grandparents, and supporters of VCS. Your gifts enable us to meet our mission of providing a quality, Christian education for children from many walks of life. There are many ways to support
Cash: You can make a gift with cash, checks or credit cards at the Central Office or through the mail, or you can use the ease of online giving for credit card donations.
Monthly or yearly pledges: You can give through an automatic monthly or one-time pledge or multi-year pledges to VCS that can be electronically debited, mailed in, or given online.
Planned Gifts: Supporters may consider giving through bequests of real property, insurance policies, charitable trusts, retirement plan assets, and charitable gift annuities. Through planned giving, a donor may realize significant tax benefits while avoiding income and inheritance taxes. Please consult with your financial adviser on how best to make these types of gifts to VCS.
Stocks or Securities: The gift of appreciated stock can result in significant tax savings for a donor. You may be able to obtain a tax deduction for the full value of the gift and avoid paying capital gains tax. Please consult with your financial adviser on how best to make this type of gift to VCS.
Matching Gifts: Many employers will match their employees’ gifts to non-profits, such as private educational institutions. This provides Village Christian Schools with additional income and leverages your gift into a larger donation. Please contact the Human Resources department to see if your employer matches charitable gifts.
Gifts-in-kind: Donations other than monetary donations, such as services and items, are appreciated because they free up funds that would have been used to purchase those services and items, allowing VCS more flexibility on where to allocate resources.
Memorial or Honorary Gifts: Village Christian humbly and gratefully accepts gifts made in memory or honor of a loved one. Memorial tributes are often established by families who wish to commemorate a significant event, recognize an anniversary, or other milestone in their life.
