Through our VC Volunteers program and parent groups such as our Parent Teacher Fellowships, you can play a valuable role in supporting our faculty and staff as well as facilitating school events. Join the VCS Booster Club to support Athletics, Patron’s Club to champion the Arts, and don’t miss the opportunity to be a part of our community-wide events.

The VC Volunteers Program allows our school to tap into skills, experiences and talents beyond what our excellent faculty and staff already bring to VCS.

As part of our commitment of including our VCS family in all aspects of our school life, our faculty and staff continually look for ways to involve volunteers in their work. Through various volunteer opportunities at VCS, volunteers can add value to our campus and programs and lead by serving.

The VC Volunteers Program will recruit, screen, interview and place volunteers into a service opportunity that best suits their interest and schedule within the VCS campus.

Therefore, all volunteer candidates must complete an online intake form as well as a criminal records check in order to participate in our programs. AB506 now defines “regular volunteers” as being someone “18 years of age or older and who has direct contact with, or supervision of, children for more than 16 hours per month or 32 hours per year.” AB506 requires a specific background check using fingerprints that is conducted through the California Department of Justice, called “Live Scan.”
