The Lights, Camera, Action Experience is a four-day immersive filmmaking camp designed for high school students who are passionate about movies and storytelling. Throughout the week, students step into the exciting world of film production—learning what it takes to bring an idea from script to screen.
Participants brainstorm and develop short film script ideas, gain insights into the filmmaking industry, explore the Academy of Motion Picture Arts Museum, and wrap up the week with an unforgettable Universal Studios Backlot Tour.
Each day offers a new adventure:
DAYS ONE AND TWO
Students dive into the fundamentals of the filmmaking industry, explore the different crew roles, and collaborate on brainstorming and writing short film script ideas.
DAY THREE
We take inspiration from the past and present of cinema with a visit to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts Museum, where students experience the artistry and history behind Hollywood’s greatest films.
DAY FOUR
The week concludes with a behind-the-scenes look at real movie magic on the Universal Studios Backlot Tour, walking the same streets and sets where countless iconic films and TV shows were made.
By the end of the camp, students walk away not only with new creative ideas and film knowledge, but also with a deeper appreciation of the collaborative art form of filmmaking.
