Explore geology, volcanology, ecology, glaciology, hydrology, climatology, meteorology, oceanology, anthropology, geothermal-ology, and many other ologies as you visit waterfalls, hotsprings, glaciers, lava tubes, geothermal power facility, and the only place you can stand on the North American and European continents at the same time.
- Golden Circle exploration including Gullfoss, Haukadalur geothermal area, and Þingvellir National Park (plate tectonics and geothermal systems)
- Guided visit to a geothermal power facility focusing on renewable energy production, distribution, and sustainability systems
- Applied STEM workshop or small-group engineering challenge focused on energy efficiency, geothermal applications, or sustainability problem-solving
- Guided walk through a lava tunnel formed by ancient volcanic activity, examining magma flow and rock formation
- South Coast exploration including black sand beaches and basalt column formations, with coastal erosion and volcanic geology interpretation
- Visit to Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss with winter hydrology, ice formation, and erosion discussion
- Visit to Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon with interpretation of glacial movement, ice calving, and climate impact
- Guided glacier exploration using safety equipment with instruction on ice structure, crevasses, and glacial dynamics
- Waterfall and landscape exploration in the Skaftafell region including Svartifoss and surrounding geological features
- Guided hike to the edge of an accessible lava field with volcanic systems, eruption patterns, and rock classification discussion
- Cultural and urban sustainability exploration of Reykjavík, including geothermal district heating systems, renewable infrastructure, and coastal urban planning
