Elementary

Kindy Prep
Is your Future Crusader feeling a little nervous about coming to a big school? Do they need to polish a few skills before coming in the fall? Kindergarten Prep is the class for them! Students will develop beginning-level kindergarten skills and get comfortable with a new learning environment in a smaller class setting. Activities include music, science experiments, hands-on math, and beginning reading skills. Enrolling in this class can help your child feel more confident and successful on their first day of school in August.

Incoming 4th and 5th grade students will have an opportunity to brush up on their reading foundational skills, reading fluency, writing mechanics, and grammar. They will spend time writing, working on spelling and reading some of their favorite books. Each student will leave this course knowing they are a “Reading Rockstar.”

4th and 5th Grade Math Mania
This course is the perfect review of all things Math for incoming 4th and 5th grade students. Students will practice and improve their math fluency in all operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Word problems will become their friend and students will find themselves saying, “I am good at math” by the end of this session.

Middle and High School Summer Classes

- These classes are open to non-VCS, incoming and current Village students.
- Non-VCS students should check with their current school (prior to enrolling) to ensure credits will transfer.
- Classes meeting in person must meet a minimum number of students enrolled to be offered. Classes that do not meet this minimum will be canceled and payments for that class will be refunded by May 15.
- PLEASE NOTE: We are no longer offering online Health.
Middle School Math Recovery | On Campus
Middle School Math Recovery focuses on techniques and learning strategies to improve students’ math skills. Students will review key math skills / concepts and will focus on closing gaps in Middle School math skills. This course will recover one semester of MS Math. This course provides remedial instruction in math and is not available for initial credit.
Grades: 7th, 8th, or 9th in Fall 2026

Middle School English Recovery | On Campus
Middle School English Recovery focuses on techniques and learning strategies to improve students’ language arts skills. Grammar, writing, reading and critical thinking skills will be reviewed. This course will recover one semester of MS English. This course provides remedial instruction in English and is not available for initial credit.

World History 6 | Online
Students will explore the history of the earliest humans and the rise of ancient civilizations. The study of each civilization will include analysis of how geography affected settlement and development, as well as interpretation of artifacts, examination of belief systems, and identification of major achievements. Student comprehension will be assessed through teacher observation, quizzes, tests, simulations, and project-based learning activities. Students will develop skills in collaboration, inquiry and analysis, and comparison and contrast. They will also create claims and support their claims with appropriate archaeological evidence. Students with successful completion of World History 6 during summer school will have the opportunity to enjoy one additional elective during the school year. 6th grade students must commit to one year-long Performing Art in order to be eligible to take History in summer school.

World History 7 | Online
In World History 7, students will study world events during the Middle Ages. The major topics are feudalism in Europe, the history of Islam, West African society, imperial China, medieval Japan, early Americas, and the age of Renaissance and Reformation. Students will be assessed through tests/quizzes, classwork, workbook activities/projects, and related activities/questions. During the summer, this course is very fast-paced and homework outside of class time will be expected. US History 8 | Online
This course explores the history of the United States from first colonies through industrialism. The major topics focus on the birth of the nation, American ideals, westward expansion, civil war, and the Progressive movement. A variety of tests, projects, and reading notes assess student understanding. During the summer, this course is very fast-paced and homework outside of class time will be expected. Students with successful completion of US History 8 during summer school will have the opportunity to enjoy one additional elective during the school year. 8th grade students must commit to one year-long elective (either World Language, MS Yearbook, or a Performing Art) in order to be eligible to take History in summer school. If a student is registered for summer school but has not made a commitment to a qualifying year-long elective with his/her counselor, the student may be disqualified from taking History in summer school.
In order to provide as much flexibility as possible for our Middle School students, this class will only be offered online. NO LATE REGISTRATIONS ACCEPTED AFTER MAY 15. Students will work independently at their own pace, but all work must be completed by the course end date.

Economics | Online
Economics is a one semester course that introduces students to basic economic principles and practices and how economics affect world events and vice-versa. Students will examine the world’s different economic systems, free enterprise, supply and demand, elasticity, competition, market dynamics, economic policy, microeconomics, macroeconomics, price, labor, trade and banking. It is offered for initial credit which means students who pass the course will not need to take it during the regular school year.
Grades: 11th or 12th Grade in Fall 2026
Online: June 8 - July 3 (all coursework must be completed by July 3)

High School Math | Credit Recovery (on campus)
High School Math is intended to remediate coursework from either semester of Algebra 1, Geometry, or Algebra 2 (recovers 5 credits/one semester). This course provides remedial instruction in math and is not available for initial credit.

High School English | Credit Recovery (on campus)
High School English is offered for credit recovery (recovers 5 credits/one semester) for coursework from any semester of English 9 - 12. This course provides remedial instruction in literature, grammar, and composition and is not available for initial credit.

High School Math | Initial Credit Geometry (on campus)
Geometry (Initial Credit) is intended to teach coursework for the entire year of Geometry, meaning that if a student passes they will not be required to take the Geometry during the normal school year. It is a way for an advanced math student to take more math classes in high school. As this class is designed for initial credit and covers a full year curriculum, this class requires your school counselor's approval. Attendance is critical, please do not enroll if you have planned vacations/absences during this time. This class has a minimum number of students enrolled - if this course does not meet this minimum and is subject to cancellation, you will be notified by May 1.

DAY CAMP

Day campers participate in games, crafts, group assemblies, and water play. Bible lessons, water slides, free time, and movies round out the Day Camp week. Please take a look at our registration and cancellation policies below.
- Registration must be completed online, and space is limited. We will not be able to take late registrations or walk in registrations.
- Day Camp registrations are made on a week-to-week basis and cannot be made for partial weeks or individual days.
- A non-refundable/non-transferrable deposit of $30 per week is due upon registration.
- Your Campbrain account must be up to date (or on a monthly payment plan) in order for your child to attend Day Camp. The elementary office may cancel registration(s) for unpaid weeks of Day Camp. You can log into Campbrain (https://villagechristian.campbrainregistration.com/) to pay online.
- If you wish to cancel a week of Day Camp and receive a partial refund, you must email bethr@villagechristian.org no later than 10 a.m. on the Wed before the week you wish to cancel.
- If you add weeks after your initial registration, they will not automatically be added to your payment plan. You must contact Analaura Diaz (analaurad@villagechristian.org) in the Summer Programs office to have your monthly payments adjusted.

Baseball Camp
VCS Baseball Summer Youth Camp is a great opportunity for players to learn the fundamentals and improve their skills through a variety of drills and game simulations. Athletes receive direct coaching from VCS baseball coaches and players and will be divided into teams by age group/skill level. Players should bring a glove, bat, helmet, baseball attire, cleats, snack, and a reusable water bottle labeled with their name visible.

Basketball Camp (Boys)
Student-athletes will be put through a series of drills, competition, and workouts aimed at making each player excel at their natural position. Athletes will be educated on fundamentals ranging from post play, rebounding, shooting, passing, and dribbling to defensive positioning, team play, and executing plays.

Basketball Camp (COED)
This camp is designed for the little hoopers to teach and/or improve their basketball skills. Players will be put through a series of drills, competition, and workouts. Our coach's goal is to educate players on all fundamentals from post play, rebounding, shooting, passing, dribbling, defensive positioning, team play, and executing plays in a fun and learning environment. Camp will take place on our outdoor court where baskets can be lowered to an appropriate height to allow for the utmost success and learning.

Cheer Camp
The VCS Cheer Camp is designed to teach basic and practical fundamentals, skills, and techniques of cheerleading. The camp consists of learning the cheers themselves as well as movements designed for each cheer. Cheer Camp can be used to build a base of cheer fundamentals or to simply have some fun with the girls. Snacks, poms, and a t-shirt will be provided.

Football Camp (COED)
VCS Football Camp teaches fundamental skills using position-specific drills for young athletes. This non-contact camp will teach football players proper technique when running, catching, throwing, tackling and blocking. Each camper will learn eight specific skills for each (non-kicking) position on the football field and will receive immediate feedback from coaches with years of knowledge and experience. SPACE IS LIMITED.

The VCS softball camp is designed to enhance the skills of softball players by specialized hitting instructors teaching the fundamental and practical techniques of the game. The workouts will consist of hitting sessions concentrating on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of each swing through still-ball and live pitch exercises. This camp can be used to build a base of fundamentals or to maintain and refine your current level of play.

Track and Field is a great way for young athletes to improve their speed, endurance, and coordination. Participants will learn the basic skills and tactics for both running and field events, such as sprints, relays, and more.

Volleyball Camp (COED)
The VCS Volleyball Camp is a great way for young athletes to learn the sport of volleyball and have fun doing it. Athletes will learn the basic skills and tactics of both indoor and beach volleyball. The camp will be run by the current Village Christian coaching staff, as well as current players and top collegiate alumni from the Village program.

Wrestling Camp
Wrestling is one of the few individual sports that allows athletes to compete at no matter what the age, height or weight. Wrestling promotes great body awareness, balance, flexibility, reflexes, endurance, as well as self-confidence. Wrestling, like gymnastics, is a great second sport to support a primary sport like football. This camp is designed to introduce the sport of wrestling, teach the basic moves and skills, as well as have fun and build confidence in young athletes.

Royal Academy Camp
Want to be a princess and prince for a week and learn all about being a part of God’s Royal Kingdom? This camp is the perfect fit for our little boys and girls entering JK - 1st grade. They will learn about characters from the Bible each day, work on a craft project, and explore dance, creative movement, and various athletic activities!
Please bring: comfortable clothes they can move in, closed-toed shoes, a refillable water bottle, and a snack for each day. We will provide accessories and craft supplies.

Under the Sea Choir Camp: Deep in God’s Love
Do you like to sing?Join us for Under the Sea Choir Camp: Deep in God’s Love, a week-long choir experience for upcoming 2nd–5th graders that combines music, creativity, and faith. Throughout the week, students will learn a variety of songs while exploring the theme of God’s deep and faithful love and will conclude with a special performance for their family and friends. Campers will enjoy ocean-themed musical activities and crafts as they grow in confidence, teamwork, and musicianship. No prior choir experience is required—just a willingness to sing and learn together.
Students will need to bring a water bottle and a snack every day, as well as a three-ring binder dedicated to this camp.
Grades: Rising 2 - 5

Elementary Musical Theatre Camp
If you love acting, dancing, and singing; this is the perfect camp for you! Students will explore the world of musical theatre and learn songs, scenes, and choreography. It is for students entering 2nd through 5th grade.
Please bring: comfortable shoes they can move in, closed-toed shoes, a refillable water bottle, and a sack lunch.
Grades: Entering 2nd - 5th grade
Dates: July 20 - 24, 10 AM - 3 PM

MS Revue "SHOWSTOPPERS!"
This camp is designed to give each student more opportunity to explore and develop their skills in Musical Theatre. Each student will receive a solo, monologue or small group song/scene to work on with the directors and the entire ensemble will learn multiple group songs culminating in a final revue show performed on Friday, June 19! In order to run this camp, we will need a minimum of 20 students.
Please bring: comfortable attire you can move in, jazz shoes, a refillable water bottle, and a sack lunch.
Grades: Entering 6th - 8th Grade
Dates: June 8 - 19 (Monday-Friday), 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM with a lunch break

Private Lessons
(As scheduled throughout the summer)
Cost: Starting at $40 per half-hour lesson, billed every four weeks
Students will benefit from one-on-one instruction from experienced and qualified Christian teachers who are all professionals. Students may choose from Drums, Piano, Voice, Brass/Woodwinds, and Dance. Once you have signed up for private lessons, a teacher will contact you to find a time that is mutually agreed upon for the lesson. Lessons are scheduled based on the availability of the teacher.

SPEECH AND DEBATE PROGRAM

The Village Speech and Debate Program, run by Perfect Score Academy, offers a unique opportunity for students to develop communication and presentation skills, while simultaneously strengthening their logical thinking abilities. Students will gain a better understanding of how to deliver speeches with more confidence. No prior experience is necessary.
Each camp is limited to 13 students. The camp will be canceled if fewer than 13 students enroll.
ELEMENTARY
Designed to help students become better speakers and critical and logical thinkers. Through fun activities, they'll learn how to express themselves clearly, listen attentively, and think on their feet. They'll also practice making persuasive arguments and presenting their ideas confidently. It's a great way for kids to build their communication skills while having a blast!

Students not only strengthen their debate and speech skills, but also develop essential logical and critical thinking abilities. By learning different debate formats and practicing persuasive speaking and structured storytelling, they build clear communication skills and lasting confidence. These skills extend far beyond the classroom, preparing students for academic presentations, interviews, and real-world situations where strong thinking and confident expression truly make a difference.
